Day 2 of 30 Days of Creative Expression

photo 1Join the fun! I hope you'll hang out with me and take part in the conversation around my challenge: 30 Days of Creative Expression. You need not be an artist to unleash your inspiration. You can take part in anyway you desire by commenting on my posts related to the topic for the day, write, or art journal with me for the month and share your discoveries and creations.

My goal is to create collaboration and conversation around the daily Spirit@Work® Card that I select on my handy iPhone app created by Lance Secretan. Today I selected, Inspiration.

There is much fuss about new beginnings when we enter a New Year. Sometimes things aren't so different and you may wonder why all the hype and enthusiasm. You may be feeling like the people in my illustration, following suit like everyone else on the moving sidewalk, in a fog of sleep.

Things don't have to be radically different on the outside for you to begin to be inspired on the inside. Take a look at the Dictionary definition of the word Inspiration.

1 the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, esp. to do something creative.

•the quality of having been so stimulated, esp. when evident in something:a rare moment of inspiration in an otherwise dull display.

• a sudden brilliant, creative, or timely idea.

• divine influence.

2 the drawing in of breath; inhalation.

ORIGIN Middle English (in the sense ‘divine guidance’)

Challenge yourself for a moment and imagine the wealth of treasure stored up and waiting to be ignited and released through you! Imagine for a moment that instead of taking the regular route, head down, following the crowd like a swarm of bees, you broke with the pattern and connected to the divine breathe moving uniquely through you. Imagine that you opened yourself up to the breath of Inspiration guiding and directing you.

Take a risk to be inspired! Take a risk to breath in Inspiration and move out of stale and sleepy!

How might you be an open channel for inspiration today?
