My natural bent is to see and find the good in difficult situations. When I am my healthiest I live appreciating the moment. I savor the beauty that is pulsating through the world and I can’t help, but exude gratitude and joy. But just because this is my innate bent doesn’t mean that I haven’t struggled with this as much as the next gal.
Certainly there are days I find joy challenging. In fact, there have been years when I‘ve struggled to compost the heartbreak I’ve experienced and turn it into gold. There have been years that I struggled with mindsets that kept me living beneath my potential and ability. Lose in my life is what actually drew me into the coaching profession. The heartbreak and challenges in life continue to motivate me to connect with my heart in deeper ways.
If you saw pictures from my teenage years, you’d see an angry gal that didn’t know what to do with her emotion. As an adult, I’ve done and continue to do the hard work of connecting to the truth of my inner being and I love empowering other women to do the same for themselves. We are Beings and not Doings, but few of us know how to connect with our own being-ness in the world.
Recently I heard Deepak Chopra use the term. “Gladdening” and it resonated with me. Of course it did! My new book talks about this very thing! Click here to be Uprising, The Happiness Shift. A 40-Day Guide to Shift Out of Fear Into Redonkulous Joy! It’s available on Amazon now!!!!
Gladdening our hearts is something I’ve written about for years and the theme continues in my new book. We all need tools to process the heartbreak of life and turn it into joy. I sure have! I’ve needed tools to process through the grief of losing a brother to suicide, a husband to cancer, friendships that ended and lose of many I’ve loved, not to mention the everyday variety of getting out of my own way. That’s why I wrote my new book for my clients and women like you!
It’s not easy when facing difficult challenges. It’s not easy when our hearts are broken from betrayal and loss. It’s not easy when we face a health or financial crisis, but one thing I know for sure is that the manner in which we view our circumstances will determine how we process through them.
